Hi Inky fans!
I thought I'd pop in today to introduce myself to you and to share my very first Inky Impressions card. My name is MacKenzie and I live in sunny California where I'm a full time Mommy and certified stamp addict. I'll be here on the Inspiration Blog every so often to share projects with you. When I'm not here, you can find me over at "Midnight Scramper" where I craft into the wee hours of the morning.
So, here it is. My first Inky card.
I used a fun new image called "Nicholas' Firefly Frenzy".
Adorable, no?
I embellished with some clear Inky Dinky Drops and stamped the sentiment onto a punched oval. Then I finished it off with silver charm.
Here's a peek at the inside...
And these are the Copics that I used...
Here's a really quick peek at how I colored the grass that Nicholas is standing in.
These are the three shades of green that I like to use.
One dark, one medium and one light.
One dark, one medium and one light.
I start with my darkest color and add my shadows.
Then I take my lightest color and use quick upward strokes.
Next, I take my medium green and repeat the previous step.
To finish it off, I go back with my lightest green and use quick strokes to fill in any white areas. This will help blend the different shades together.
When the grass is done, I die cut the image and add sponging around the edges.
Here's a quick way to add flowers...
Choose 3-4 coordinating colors and make teeny tiny polka dots in and on the tips of the grass.
Easy-Peasy!
Welcome on board MacKenzie :) Gorgeouss card and awesome tute on how to make grass. Thanks for sharing ;)
