Paper Tissue Flowers

Hi it's Lora here. I've been playing with tissue paper this week that I found in my kids craft box :)
I decided to make some flowers with it and have done a little picture tutorial to show you how easy it is to make them.
Sorry about some of the pics, I had to take them inside as it was raining so they are not so good.

Ok so here goes. This is what we are aiming for.

And this is what I used to make them.

Tissue paper in the colour of your choice, a brad (any colour as you won't see it when the flower is finished).
I used a Spellbinders scalloped circle die but you can just cut out normal circles or even tear the tissue paper into circle shapes, I just like the edge that this die gives. Obviously you need a die cutting machine to cut them with if you are using a die :)
And finally stickles glitter glue (optional).

Cut out some circles. I done 12 per flower and cut 6 at once so it only took two runs through my cuttlebug to cut the 12. I think you could probably cut more, but my tissue paper was already folded into 6 layers so I just cut 6 layers at a time.
You can use as much or as little as you like, but I find that 10 or 12 is a good number.

Place a brad through the centre of all the circles. As I said before, unless you want the brad to show, it really doesn't matter what colour you use as it will be hidden.
Start scrunching up the layers one by one.

Until they are all scrunched up like this (sorry about the photo!)

Then gently pull back the layers a little until you get something that looks like this.
I have covered the brad, but if you want it showing, just pull the middle layer back a bit further.
Then if you want, you can add some glitter glue like I did to give it some sparkle :)

I also made one out of crepe paper. Which holds the shape really well :)

I have also made these with handmade paper (not handmade by myself lol, but the handmade ones you can buy). All you do is cut out a few circles and then peel the layers of each one apart (it's easy to peel the layers of handmade paper apart, just scrunch it up first to make the edges curl a bit so you have a bit to start peeling at), then assemble as shown.

And here's my flower on a card.

I used Lili's Present which you can find here in the Inky Impressions Store and also some Inky Dinky Drops on my other flowers, which you can find here. I have used the clear ones but there is so many different colours in the store to choose from.

I hope my little tutorial has inspired you today. Why not give these a try and enter the Inky Impressions challenge this week which is "Punches or Dies".
