Holiday Gift Bag

Hi everyone. It's Sandie here and I am delighted to returning to Inky Impressions as guest designer for the next 2 months.

A little about me  - I have been crafting for over 5yrs, starting out with scrapbooking, and was then lured over to the world of stamping and card making by all the talent in blogland. I enjoy all types of papercrafting from mini books to templates. My favourite colouring mediums are Copic markers and distress inks but I mostly use Copics. I love to work with cute images and Inky Impressions stamps fit the bill perfectly.

For today's Inspiration post I have made a Holiday Gift bag.

To complete this bag you will need:

Image stamp and matching sentiment {I used Little St. Nicholas}
1x Plain white gift bag {3.5" x 6.25"}
1 x patterned paper
Colouring Medium
Distress ink & sponge
Ribbon, twine, charm
Paper trimmer & Hole Punch

Step 1: Colour your image using your preferred colour medium, trim out and set aside.

Step 2: Fold over the top of your paper bag twice and crease well. Trim down your patterned paper to fit the front of the bag up to the folded tab {approx 3.25" x 5.25"}. Taking Antique Linen Distress ink, sponge the edges of both the bag and the patterned paper. Adhere the patterned paper to the bag using double sided tape or other adhesive.
Step 3: Stamp out your sentiment, cut and ink with the Antique Linen. Adhere to the bag, leaving it sticking out over the edge.

Step 4: Adhere your image to the bag using 3D foam dots, overlapping the sentiment.
Step 5: Fill the bag with Christmas treats
Step 6: Holding the flap where you folded the bag down punch 2 holes, thread some ribbon and Christmas twine through and tie a bow. Use a fine bakers twine to attach the metal charm.

Step 7: Add Star Dust stickles to the trim of St. Nicholas's hat/coat and around the sentiment and leave to dry.

And that completes the gift bag. Thank you so much for dropping in to the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog today and I do hope you are inspired to be a little bit creative.

xx
