Inspired by L-O-V-E

Love is in the air!  It seems the minute we finish the task of putting the Christmas boxes back in the attic, it's time for all things LOVE!  Valentine's Day is just around the corner and with it comes hearts, flowers, kisses and my V-Day weakness. . .CANDY! I love it all - chocolate, conversation hearts and my favorite treat - chocolate covered cherries!  Just look at the drops of yummy goodness!

Now it may sound silly to be inspired by a box of chocolates, but if it's good enough for Forrest Gump, then it's good enough for me!

I took my inspiration from the colors - cherry red, sugary cream and, of course, CHOCOLATE!  I inked up Angelica's Heart Socks and colored her with Copic markers in my chosen yummy palette!  Take a look. . .
I started with the January Sketch For You To Try by Jen del Muro.  Here's a look at the original sketch:
I modified it slightly by replacing the circle with a layered heart.  Don't you just love this sweet image!  She was so fun to color!  Look at all those darling hearts on her sweater set, socks and headband!  I wonder if they make those in my size?

Here's a close up of the crystal lacquer effects on the hearts. . .
I hope you have found yourself inspired by LOVE!  If not, inspiration by chocolate is certainly acceptable too!  Have a fabulous day with a cherry on top!
