Inspired by SNOW

Good morning friends! I'm Lesa and I will be your Inky Impressions Inspiration host today! Now as many of you know, I live in Oklahoma. And when you live in the center of the country, you tend to have pretty strange weather. Last year, during the month of February, we experienced near 70 degrees one day and record breaking snowfall - almost 24 inches - in blizzard like conditions the next. It was the "storm of the century" as they say. Having spent a good part of my vacations over the past few years in my adopted state of Colorado, I do so love a good snow day! I don't necessarily need what we had last year - almost seven full snow days - as in, no school, no travel, stay inside, bundled up. . .you get the idea. So, much to my dismay, so far this year we have only had ONE weak winter storm, with barely an inch of snow. Certainly nothing to write home about. Sigh...

So in light of my desperate desire for a really good snow day, I created this. . . .

I figure if I can't have my own snow day, I should at least give Angelica one of her own. This sweet image - entitled Angelica and her Snowman is one of my favorites from Inky Impressions. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. Using a circle die sized to match my shaker frame, I cut an opening in the pattern paper and then started layering. Take a look at the close up. And how about my snow?
Will you be inspired by a weather event too? We'd love to see your creations! Why not join us for this weeks challenge to use a punch or a die - and, don't forget - if you use an Inky Impressions image, you could win a $10 gift certificate! You can find the challenge details HERE.

Until next time! Snowy hugs!

Lesa
