Hello, today I have something special to share and it is a mirror that I made for third daughter Indiana to hang in her bedroom. I have used Tu-Tu Cute Lili & her little kitten from Inky Impressions for this mirror.
I have given the frame a washed look ( I will show you how to get the washed look at the bottom of this post).
I have used a cream lace around the inside and outside of the frame, then I have used pearl strips ( colour-latte) around the top near the edges.
I have coloured Tu-Tu Cute Lili using copic markers -Hair E11, E57, E59. Skin E000, E00, E11, R20. Dress & Shoes B00, B02. Bottom of dress E50, E51.
Kitten E11, E57, E59. Kitten dress B00, Bo2 & E50.
I have then used stickles to glitter Lili & the Kitten skirts.
I have used some pearl ( chocolate ) & Rhinestone ( Champagne ) flourishes around the frame to pretty it up.
With each set of flourishes I have added a blue bow, a little white rose and a charm. The roses & charms are from Inky Impressions.
I have added more roses around the edge including some with a blue edge, then on each of the roses I have used some stickles.
For something special I have added a rub-on 'Sugar & Spice & all things nice' verse.
How To :
Now how to get a washed look on your frame.
First I paint the frame all chocolate brown (2 coats). When it was dry I then paint a top coat of white ( see below).
After the white coat was dry I then sanded it back to reveal some of the brown underneath ( see below ).
Sand it back until your happy with the colour.
Once your happy with the colour of the frame its then time to dress it. Yes its messy painting & sanding the frame but well worth it.
I hope you have enjoy my post on Indiana's Mirror.
Its not just cards that you can use your Inky Impressions stamps on.
All the best
