Party Banner Project

Good morning Inky friends!  It's Lesa!  This morning I am sharing a fun and easy project - a party banner!  Now while this particular banner is being used for a birthday party, it could be used for a non-birthday party as well.  Take a look!

I started with Hula Lili.  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers.  I then cut large banner triangles. . .

And a layered in another set of smaller triangles. . .

I then cut a banner topper and added that to the top of each triangle. . .

I then cut letters for the word LUAU and I also cut "Hawaiian" flowers. . .

Now these flowers are intended to be rolled up a bit tighter for a more compact flower.  But I wanted the to have more a "lei look" like ones on Lili's!  I added coordinating felt brads to the centers which also doubled as my "connector" for the banner pieces. I added ribbon streamers at the ends and left enough length so the it could be adjusted to fit the place where it will hang.

Here's the finished project all ready for the party. . .

Don't forget to join us this week for the Inky Impressions Challenge!  There are lots of prizes to be won and we would LOVE to see you there!  Until next time - may your days be sunny, may your flowers bloom and may your drink have an umbrella!
