A Warm Hello CAS

Hello everyone!  I have made a clean and simple card for my post this week using "Warm Hello Circle".  I tried some new techniques this week.  I learned how to make flower petals using ribbon, and I also am learning how to blend my pencils with OMS (odorless mineral solvents).

OK, so I have some thoughts I wanted to share with you all today.  This world of coloring brings us many new opportunities and techniques to learn.  Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming, when we look at all the different techniques for coloring, card folding, hand-made flowers.  Even all the different mediums can be daunting, but no ones says you have to be perfect at all of them.  I love to learn new things, and sometimes that is my downfall.  However, if there is one thing I have learned from this creative journey of mine, its this:  go ahead, try new things...but never...ever...give up or bring yourself down because you think you'll never figure it out :)

When I finished coloring this image, I wasn't so sure I liked it.  Being one of my first using OMS, I thought, nope, there's no way I can use this.  But the more I looked at it, and the more I searched through my stash to find embellishments to go with it, the more I liked it...and...the more I wanted it to be a clean and simple card, showcasing the image.  It's definitely not perfect, but it definitely IS a one-of a kind.  When you get time to be creative, give yourself a break, and let your creativity do the work for you.  You'll be amazed at how things turn out :)  And last, but definitely not least, just have FUN!

This has been a public service announcement from Inky Impressions DT Leah Tees.  We now return to our regular programming.  :P
