A Simple Little Thanks! - Lili with Berries

Hi, Crafty Peeps,
Hope your Saturday morning is off to a wonderful start!  My post this week is a pretty straight forward card.  I am using Lili with Berries  and the Thank you Berry Much Sentiment for this inspiration post.
This week, my goal is to inspire you to think differently about where elements appear in your design.  I decided I wanted to create two focal points, the sentiment on the front and the image on the inside.
The designer paper I used is so strong, I knew it would compete with any image.  Of course, you could add a solid mat on top of it, which I did not want to do. Paper is a powerful design element.  I wanted to work with this paper's design rather than have it work against me.
Using solid coordinated card stock strips, and leaving my sentiment white,  I created a deconstructed bow tie.  This simple focal draws the eye away from the bold chevron design and identifies the sentiment as the point of interest.
The inside is intentionally left very bare!  The image is the focal here.  I did search and search for my itty bitty blueberry stamp, but could not find it.  I like to leave lots of room for writing personal notes. After I glued the note square down, I found a few more scraps of my designer paper.  I would have used those to create a faux mat for the note square.  Maybe that will be a part of next week's post!

I hope you will be inspired to use elements in your designs in ways you have not done before!

Hugz,
Chana Malkah
