Hi everyone,
It's Nicole here today with a little inspiration for you, we'll I hope so anyway. I love all of the Lili images and I especially love the Lili's Roses image. It goes perfectly as a Mothers Day card (which I did a few weeks ago) and also as a Birthday card or even a Just Because card. She is super versatile.
Here she is;
So for my little bit of inspiration this week I thought I would share some of my card making tips. I'm sure a lot of you know these but just in case here goes;
My first tip is to use your card stock wisely. I like to cut my matting for my image from the matting under my patterned paper, you can never tell and this is also handy for when you are using scraps. I also design my card around the leftover bits of card stock and patterned paper, it saves on guessing measurements and making decisions, which I am bad at.
Another tip that I have used today is about using your Nesting dies. I am terrible at printing images the right size to then be cut out with my dies so this time I found one that suited the image and I traced around the inside of the die and then cut it by hand, while also fussy cutting around the bits that didn't fit in. This also meant that I could use the die to cut out my card stock and the border would be perfect.
My last tip is to raid your stash, I bet you have forgotten what is in there. Like the pretty border punch I used on this card.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope I didn't ramble on too much
Cheers Nicole
