A Tag for You

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying the inspiration the Inkettes have been posting for you, today I am here with a Tag.

I really enjoy making tags especially Christmas Tags, last year ended up being a little rushed, but I know my family members kept them, so that made me chuffed, so I am starting earlier on them this year, so here is Marley...
I ended up giving her quite a cold look lol, I will have to warm her up next time I colour her, you can find her HERE in Nicoles Shop, I coloured her with copics, the shapes are nesties, and the charm and pearls can be found in Nicoles Shop, I love the colour of those pearls.
I will have to write up a list and keep track else I may end up with too many tags lol
Thanks for visiting, Love Joey x x x

A Window Treat Box for any Occasion

Hi everyone!! Today I'd like to share with you my 'go to' treat box when I need a quick gift.

Supplies needed are -
  • One 6 5/8" x 11" piece of cardstock
  • One 4 1/4" cardstock square
  • Four pieces of patterned paper measuring 2 1/2" x 3 7/8"
  • One piece of patterned paper measureing 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"
  • Oval cutting tool or Oval Nestabilities
  • Big Shot/Grand Calibur
  • Adhesive
  • Scallop Edge Punch

Line up your 6 5/8" x 11" piece of cardstock vertical with your paper cutter and score at 2 5/8".

Turn your cardstock and score at 2 5/8", 5 1/4", 7 7/8" and 10 1/2"

Fold all the score lines, and then cut on them to make flaps along the bottom. Cut off the smallest end piece.

Center your die/oval cutter between the score lines and the top of the box on one of the box side panels and cut out an oval.

Adhere your patterned paper pieces to the box front and add some adhesive to the flap on the end.

Adhere a piece of Acetate on the inside box to cover the window to keep treats from falling out. If your treats are bagged then there is no need to add the acetate.

With the box upside down and the oval facing toward you, fold in the 2 side flaps.

Add adhesive to the flap in the back of the box - the one with no oval. fold down the front flap to finish the box and adhere the flap with the adhesive on top. This is how the box should look now.

Score your 4 1/4" square piece of cardstock at 3 1/2" on all sides and cut on the right score line on each side, creating flaps.

Punch the edges off your square with the scallop edge punch, but cut the scalloped area off the flaps. You do not want them to show under the other scallops. I used double dot punch which isn't ideal, but I like the design. Add glue on the flaps to adhere the lid together by tucking the flaps underneath.

Adhere the 2 7/8 square to the top of the lid.

Trim out your pre-coloured image

Decorate the box as desired.

Thanks for popping by. If you decide to give this a try please do link up in the comments section :)

Have a great day!!

Coloring on Craft cardstock

Hi ladies,

Today I have a tutorial on coloring on craft cardstock.
I think coloring on craft looks great, you have a beautiful brown background.
For my tutorial I colored with Derwent Pencils.

Step 1: I start with coloring the face and cheeks. I use 550 for the face.

Step 2.. I start with coloring the hat, jeans and her scarf.. as you can see I only put a little bit of coloring on it! I fade the colors with odorless turpentine.

Step 3.. here you can see the blue colors faded and I will do the same with the pink colour.

Step 4.. awesome with coloring on craft is that you can put a white colour on your images. For the fur I used a white pencil and for her shoes and belt black.

Step 5.. here are all colours faded and I created a little bit of shading behind the image.

Hope you like it and I love to hear if you tried coloring on craft cardstock!
Hugs, Marley
