Girly Clipboard

Tanya here with a little something to put a smile on anyone's face.  For today's post I wanted to do something I haven't done in awhile which is alter something and I found one of these clipboards in my stash.

I decided on the papers I would use (bright and pink LOL) and then I pulled out Angelica's Heart Socks as she is my long time favorite (I believe it she was also one of my first Inky purchases).

I didn't want to add too much so I just added a doily, some bling and punched out some butterflies.  I tied some fancy string to one side of the clips and hung two heart charms (Daisy Swirl and Friendship Heart) (see close up of image pic below)

Make sure you come back tomorrow for some more amazing inspiration from the Inkettes!

Fun with a Purse

Hi everybody!  It's me, Carly, one of the March/April guest designers.  Today I've made a cute purse using Angelica's Heart Socks.  The purse is an SVG that my mom came across a couple of weeks ago.
I used some flourishes to the side of the accordian flower.

I found the perfect striped brads to hold the handle in place.

Hope you guys like it!

Some Angelica Inspiration

Good morning all it is time to share a bit of Inky Impressions Inspiration! That's right, today I have a creation to share with you using one of the fun stamps from the Inky Impressions Store!

For my card today I wanted to use this stamp, Angelica's Heart Socks! She is just so darn cute and girlie and that was exactly the mood I was in when I made this card. I wanted to create a card that was soft and girlie so I used pinks and purples with a bit of yellow and tied it together with this lovely yellow satin ribbon and pink pearls.

Thank you for stopping by today, I do hope that you enjoy my creation for today and have a fabulous day!

A little thief....

stole my image for my inspiration card :)  Last night my little girl and I sat down at my table so that I can create my inspiration card for today's post.  I had gotten up to go do something for DH and came back to find my little sweetheart had decided she wanted my image and had ran off with my image :)

So for today's post, this is a card created by my little girl Abby.  I will be back tomorrow with my card :)

Happy Valentines day with Angelica and Hazel

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day!! Sammi here with a little gift tag for someone lovely ... on the front of the tag I have used that gorgeous stamp we have been featuring this month ... Angelica's heart socks .. I have stamped her in brown ink on Kraft card and then coloured her in....

and here is the backside of the tag .. For the back I have stamped Hazel baking cookies (one of the sweet images from the latest release) in Pink ink - over a Swiss dotted, distressed background ... and just left her outline with a bit of shading to ground her.

Here's a closer look at those lovely images...

Tutorial - Spellbinder Nestabilities Dahlia Easel Card with 'Angelica Heart Socks'

Hi all, Annette here today with my first attempt at a tutorial for making a creation, I have made a tutorial using the Spellbinder Nestabilities Dahlia to make an Easel Card.

First choose your papers and Spellbinder

Cut three of the largest Nestie in White card and choice of bottom layer and two of the second largest nestie for the top layer

After cutting match the designer paper shape to the white cardstock (they are not symetrical as I discovered the first time I made a blossom easel card) as you can see in the left of the photo you can see white edges

I the turn the shapes over and mark them with pencil so I can match up much easier later
I have used X-Press It Double sided High Tack Tape, now place on the top side of the white card that is going to have the designer paper stuck to it, when placing make sure you have it in the right place as once stuck it is stuck!
You now need to score the centre of one of the Dahlia making sure your mark is matching the Dahlia you are going to stick to.
Turn over and use the Sticky tape on the top half of the Dahlia that matches the back of the front of the card (next photo)

Then stick the second layer onto the Dahlia that is to have the image on
You then need to score the back as shown so you can stick the joining piece to the base

Now I don't stick the second layer on the base if I am using brads, to use as stop for the easel, work out where the brads need to be, place them, then stick the second layer down on the base, I have also kindyglitzed around the edges.  (As you can see started added embellishments and then remembered I hadn't taken a photo lol)

Next add your image and I have chosen to use the Gorgeous 'Angelica Heart Socks' which Nicole has on offer for only USD $10.50 this month, plus if you are a member of the Inky yahoo group, you get an additional 10% off.

A closer look at Angelica, popped her hair band up (a little tip I try and colour the pop up stickers with the colour I am using so they don't stand out).  Special effects on her hearts (on the head band), ear rings, those gorgeous eyes, bracelet, handbag and cute boots.

Hope I have made sense, if anything is not clear please ask.

Don't forget we still have our sketch challenge going over at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog and the Blog Hop starting here where you have the chance to win two of the new release images, 1 sentiment and some embellishments from Nicole (Inky Mama).   For you chances of winning you must complete the Blog Hop by Friday 9.00am EST.

Thank you for visiting, happy crafting, take careX:)

Perfectly matched embellishments

Hello, Sammi here - with an Inky Inspiration post :D I have made a card using the beautiful Angelica's Heart Socks.. the very same one that is currently on sale in the store - HERE!

I have used a couple of embellishments that are available in the Inky store ...

*** Nicole has a wonderful range of charms and I thought this little heart charm was the perfect accompaniment to Angelica's Heart Socks :D

*** I have also used the CLEAR Inky dinky drops... I just LOVE these little drops... There are a number of different colours but I love the clear for two reasons and I've shown you on this card..

  1. You can put them on clear - they are nice and subtle...still showing up the colours, patterns behind them (see the bottom on either side of the sentiment I used). They look really good as water droplets!!
  2. You can colour them with your Copics and therefore perfectly match your image/ PP (the three Inky dinky drops at the top of the card were coloured with a Red Copic marker)
Have a wonderfully Inky day!!

I just have to share the story with you. Kristine & I have spoke on the telephone many times. A few months ago, we were on the phone chatting and sending each other pics on IM & she sent me some pics of her handmade ornaments. I told her how impressed I was with them & how pretty they are.......... She said they take alot of time but she enjoys making them for friends and family right before Christmas.

So, the day before yesterday, I went out on my porch and there was a box from Kristine and I was all smiles..... from ear to ear, might I add! I opened it and I was blown away! It truly touched my heart! It was so beautiful girls! Not only was it beautiful, but the fact that she took the time to make an ornament for me, meant the world!!! And it was made with 2 of my favorite colors.... I was almost in tears!!! Here it is, isn't it one of the most beautiful ornaments you have ever seen???? PLEASE NOTE: My camera takes horrible pics (as far as the color)

Then I noticed that there was a card in the bottom of the box and when I opened it I was in aww... then, I read the inside of the card and just about BALLED MY EYES OUT!!! The sweet, kind things that friends can say to make your day, huh??? The card is so stinkin' cute too! Oh my goodness, she is Mardi Gras Angelica....... Aren't these just so beautiful? This gift completely made my day!!! There is nothing like getting a special handmade gift from a special friend! Thanks so much Kristine! YOU ROCK GIRLFRIEND!!!
