I've got a quick picture tutorial today on how I used shading with prismacolor pencils to tone down the colours I used on Sassy Lili to give her a more vintage look

| Finally shading was added round the edges |
I then put the lines of shading in with pencils ready to blend with blending solvent
Hair yellow ochre pc942 and 70% warm grey pc1056
Top black pc935 and tuscan red pc937
Trousers 70% warm grey pc1056
cheeks and arms -tuscan red pc937
I then used blending stumps to blend the colours.
Finally I highlighted around the edges with light aqua pc992
and gave her glasses a gloss with glossy accents

I then mounted he onto black card and used the gorgeous MME meadowlark paper which I thought gave it a 60's look, the flowers were punched with woodware daisy punches, the border is from spellbinders floral doily accents and the ribbon and gems from my stash. Finally the "lets party" sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp with a little red bow and inky love heart charm to finish it off!
I love adding shade to my characters with pencils - it can change the whole look and its really easy to do
