Paper Pillow Gift Box - Tutorial

Hi Inky Friends! :)

Today I´m going to show you a little tutorial how to make a paper pillow gift box. It´s easy and so much fun to do :)

Here is supplies what you need:

1. I made a scour line 1/4 inch from one edge of the cardstock.

2. At this point, I´ve inked all the edges with Distress Ink - Walnut Stain and I added lace and patterned paper size 6,5inc x 4inc. You can also do this pillow box directly with patterned paper.
Then I put double-sided tape on the top of the fold ( you can also use a glue).

  3. Fold the sheet over and match the opposite edge and press firmly.

4. Use something that is curved (I used an old CD) and a pencil. Then line the CD up with the two marks on the folds and draw in the curve on both ends and cut off the ends along the pencil line.

5. Then using the CD again and your bone folder, score a curve in the other direction. Repeat this at the other end.

6. Now carefully open the paper slightly and fold the edges along the score marks carefully on side.

7. Now you can decorate the box many ways using ribbons, labels etc.
I´ve decorated my pillow box by using this adorable stamp "Nickie`s Birdie". Coloured her with my Distresses. Then I also used some ribbon and flowers.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial :)
Have a wonderful day :)

Special Friends Mean So Much!

Hello friends!!  DT Vicki here with you to share a card that I made today!
I was just trying to have some fun and try out something new (to me anyway)...have you ever made one of these style cards yet?
I saw this really cool tutorial on SCS to make a Center Step Card and just had to give it a go!  (Click on name to be taken to the tutorial if you'd like to try one out!)  The only problem I had with it was trying to get my brain to tell me NOT to score all the way across the card!  There are no solid cut or score marks on this one...so keep that in mind when you are doing it...but other than that, this is so easy!

I've used this ever so sweet Nickie's Birdie image for the front of mine...I thought these Inky Impressions stamps fit perfectly for this style of card!  And be sure that you grab all of those Inkys you've been wanting to get now as Nicole has a special "show pricing" on all of her stamps!  It won't go on forever, so now is the time to start collecting your favorites!  There are lots of other cool stuff in the store too like Inky Blooms, charms and Inky Dinky Drops!  So go check it out!!

If you'd like to see a larger photo of this project along with the challenges that I've entered this card for, then please stop by and check out my blog post about it HERE!
Thanks so much for stopping in with us today!!  Be sure you check out the current challenge going on right now with a fun color combo!  Hope to see your creation in there!!
Have a great day!! BIG INKY HUGS

Nickie´s Birdie gives you flowers

Hi  everyone! :)
So sorry for me being little late today for Inky Inspirational post.
But better late than ever, right :)

Today I want to share with you Anything But a Card...
Sometimes it is just so busy that there is no time to make a card, for example if you are going to a birthday party.
Here is my small and very simple solution. You can make a decoration from stamped image that you can give with flowers.
It looks like a little card and you can decorate it anyway you like.
I used this little darling image, called Nickie´s Birdie.
Coloured her with Distress Ink refills.
Finnish text says: "Congratulations".

I would like to remind you of the new challenge at Inky Impressions Challenges, which opened up last wednesday. DT Michaela has made for us an awesome sketch. Hope you can join the challenge :)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and take care! :)

Karita
