Mummy Card Tutorial

Hello!

Again here, I'm Cristina.

There are many versions of this mummy card, but if you have never done, I leave a small, fast and simple tutorial.

We need:

a piece of black cardstock 9 inches by 4 1/2

two pieces of cardstock orange 4 by 4 inches

12 strips of half-inch white paper for 4 1/2

two eyes 

two pieces of black cardstock, one-inch circle.

Disstres black and brown ink.

A die corner optional. Scissors and glue.

Inky Impressions digital stamp: Happy Halloween pennant.

 The orange cardstock pieces, rounding the edges.

After inking with black distress ink.

 I fold the piece of black cardstock in half.

Also rounding the edges.

 Stick inside black cardstock, one piece of orange.

 The strips of white paper.

I'm going to ink with brown sides, to give it an old dressing.

 When all the strips have inked, let's stick on orange cardstock that remains.

Strips placed horizontally, leaving a small triangle at the top, where you see the orange background.

Needless two strips of paper, put cross on the rest.

 When we all glued white strips. Turn the piece and cut what it excels.

Round the edges.

 Now stick it on the card.

Will the outside.

 I used two different sized moving eyes.

Stick to a piece of black paper (circle one inch).

You can leave and cut around the eye or smaller, as I have done.

Eyes stick the front of the card. Right in the orange piece before I left.

And finally this little mummy ornament with a banner.

I used: Happy Halloween Pennant--- DIGITAL STAMP

I have used three times, two small and one larger, on a piece of orange cardstock.

Finally a bit of twine on the flags and is now complete.

Very simple to make your own lovely mummy Halloween card.

Tutorial: Creating a Reflection with Acetate

Hi Everyone!

Lisa F. Here.  Today I have a fun tutorial for you

on how to create a reflection.

I've used

Nicholas on Ice

Let's get started:

Step 1:

You will need a Stamp, Ink (Memento works best),Scotch Tape, and a sheet of acetate large enough to accommodate your image, card stock and makers (Here I've used Copics)

Step 2:

For this particular project, we don't want the swirls at the bottom of his feet,

so we will use Scotch tape to mask off that part before inking the stamp.

Step 3:

Ink the stamp with the tape in place

Step 4:

Peel the tape from the stamp, and stamp the image onto your card stock.

Step 5:

Repeat the process of inking up the stamp using the 

Scotch tape masking method.

Stamp the image onto your piece of acetate. 

Then quickly (but carefully) line up the bottom

of the two stamps as shown. 

Step 6:

 Carefully remove the acetate piece.  Your image should now look like

this:

Step 7:

Color your top image as desired,  When you color the

 bottom image or reflection,

choose lighter colors

 and blend outside of the lines (so it looks smeary).

A Blender Pen will also help.

Step 8:

Here I've added some glitter to create the look of 

snow around the iced pond.

Step Nine:

Finish your card.

Kleenex Card Tutorial

Hello everyone, how is your Sunday going? Hope great! This is Ruthie I'm a here with Inky Impressions Inspiration with a quick tutorial. Today I'm going to share with you how to make a Kleenex Card / Get Well Card. 

First we need one 4.25"x 11" cardstock and a 6.25" x 3" of pattern paper for the box.

You are going to score the pattern paper at 1.5", 3", 4.5" and 6"

Then I used a spellbinder to make to hole of the center (for the actual Kleenex).

 

Then you fold it, add the Kleenex and glue it together. Will look like this. You are going to glue it at the inside of the card.

 The I added the sentiment with black ink, added some pink drops and here it is!!!! My Get Well Card.

Here is how it looks inside.

Hello Inky fans,

Super Birthday

Hi all

Its Lyndsey here and today its my turn to show you a bit of inspiration here on the blog. I thought I do a little tutorial on one the cards I have taught my ladies in class. The card is called a Double Dutch Fold Card.

You will need

Super Girl Lilli

Small Gems

A4 white card

Stamping card

Coloured card

3 patterned papers

Square & Scalloped Square Nesties

Corner Rounder

Flowers

Promarkers

Computer generated sentiment

1. Trim the card into 2 pieces

1 @ 25cm x 12cm

1 @ 24cm x 5cm

2. Score the larger card @ 15cm

Score the smaller card @ 6cm & 18cm

3. Round the bottom corners of each card

4. Attach the pieces of card together as shown

5. Trim pieces of patterned paper to

1 @14.5cm x 11.5cm

1 @ 9.5cm x 11.5cm

1  @ 4.5cm x 5.5cm

Round the bottom corners of the largest & smaller pieces 

6. Attach to card as shown above

7. Die cut a square from white card & a scalloped square from coloured card and mat together

 

8. Stamp & colour Super Girl Lili and fussy cut out

Promarker colours used are :

Skin - Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Oatmeal, Blush

Hair - Cocoa, Caramel, Sandstone, Vanilla

Outfit - Mustard, Tulip Yellow, Buttercup

Cape & Boots - Cardinal, Red, Lipstick Red

9. Add Lili to the matted squares and add to the front panel of the card, making sure the square comes off the bottom of the panel

10. Add flowers, gems & a sentiment to finish

Gift Card Holders with Tonya

Hey everyone! I hope this post finds you all well. Do you have people in your life that are super hard to buy for? I know I sure do. Gift cards were such a fabulous invention for these people. ;o) I love to make my own gift card holders. It just makes them alittle more special I think. Today I am sharing two gift card holders I made. They are super easy to make and you can decorate them as little or as much as you like.

Start out with a piece of cardstock that is 5" by 8". Score at 1 3/4" and 5" along the long side. Then score at 1/4" and 4 3/4" on the short side. Cut out the small pieces on both sides of the top and bottom so you only have the middle small pieces on each side. Fold the small pieces, add strong glue along the small pieces, and then fold the larger side so it adheres to the small pieces. Use a corner rounder on the top flap. Decorate as desired.

House card inspiration

Hello everyone!  It's Nanette and it is my turn to inspire! :)  and what I came up with was a really great fall inspired house card I used Lili playing in the leaves and colored her with my copic markers. 

i just made a basic house structure, and painted it with my crackle paint.  then die cut the image of lili added an embossed large lable behind her to make it stand out more, and some trim for the ground and under the roof.  It was really a fun project to make and it took me back to cut out construction paper houses as a kid.  :)

inspriation post

     My two little girls always see me crafting and always want to join in on the fun.  But when I'm sitting at my desk in a creative flow, it's hard to stop what I'm doing to stamp them something, help them find a matching piece of paper, show them how to fold a card.   So I've created some fun little card making kits for my girls.  here's what they look like.

      Inside they have little folded cards, embellishments, borders, die cut sentiments, stamped images for them to color, and coordinating paper.

     To cut down on time whenever I stamp an image I stamp an extra for the kits (same goes for sentiments and diecuts).  I use large and small scraps from my stash to make the trims, borders, and coordinating papers.   And I use extra embellishments that I have from my stash, or I make them, or I get them on the cheap from big lots.

     You can add whatever your kids like, and totally customize it.  These card kits are a cheap, fun, and thoughtful rainy day gift. They are especially perfect for a tweens birthday gift or even a slumber party.  I given lots of these out, and they are always a great hit. 

So pull out you Inky stamps, and try making a kit! :)
