Good Morning, Crafty Peeples!
Chana Malkah, here, and I am so excited about my first post as a member of the Inky Impressions Inspiration Team. I decided that for the Pink and Girly theme of this card, Mister Monster would have to become Miss Monster. We all know it is amazing what a little lipstick can do!
I chose to only use spotlight coloring on the image because the mat paper's color is so vibrant, I wanted to counter it with the neutral color of my base card stock. When I received the image, it was encircled by the sentiment, which didn't work for my design, so I cut the sentiment apart and positioned two sections on the front of the card and one on the inside. It is fun sometimes to cut up sentiments and use them as visual cues in your design. The stripes behind the image character provided an easy vehicle for integrating a little more of the design palette!
I used the negatives of my corner punch to create decorative corners to frame the inside of my card! And, of course, I added my final section of the sentiment. The banner was cut from the left over scrap from the front design and is there to direct the eye to the sentiment. Without the banner, my sentiment is just floating in space. There is still lots of room to write a personal note!
Hope you found some inspiration! See you next week!
